Wheeling Gateway Center Project Update: Continued Demolition Progress Week 10

As we wrap up Week 10, substantial progress has been made on infilling the old foundation. Crews have crushed, spread out, and compacted enough material to produce four 1-foot lifts, all of which have been tested and approved. The infill is on track to soon align with the surrounding landscape.According to the specifications in the drawings, once the infill is complete, the grade will be sloped away from the streets to ensure proper drainage, keeping water away from sidewalks, streets, and buildings. Crews will continue work early next week, maintaining focus on meeting our goals ahead of the holiday break and completing the task before the new year.
